KORI HILL TREKKING

Kori Hill Trekking is a popular hiking trail located in the Kaski district of Nepal, near the city of Pokhara. The trail offers a moderate level of difficulty, making it suitable for beginner hikers as well as experienced trekkers.

The Kori Hill Trekking trail takes hikers through beautiful forests, terraced farmlands, and small villages, providing a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle and culture of the local communities. The trail also offers stunning panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, as well as the Pokhara Valley.

The Kori Hill Trekking trail can typically be completed in 2-3 days, depending on the pace of the hiker and the starting point. The trail can be accessed from several starting points, including the village of Sikles, which is about 22 km from Pokhara. It's recommended to go with a licensed guide or trekking agency for safety and support, as well as to ensure a more immersive and informative experience.

Day1:-

We started our journey from Pokhara (Prithvi highway). we reserved a taxi from amarsing chowk to Kaukhola, sikles Tanting Busstop. we reached there at 9:30 The bus was left 30 min soon and we missed our bus.we thought we trekked from there. we started our journey from Kaukhola on foot from the wayside by the bank of the bijayapur river. This trekking was planned in between the two greatest festivals of Hindu Dashain and Tihar. we reached the bank of Madi after 1 hour of trekking from Kasayari.we traveled all sides by the bank of the Madi River. we crossed too many rivers using suspensions bridge and too many small water canals. The greenery and sound of the Madi River make our journey more exciting. we take our snacks at 3:00 pm we missed our way and asked local people too many times.

Our target is to reach Sikles on that day and start our second-day trek from there next early morning. we reached Sikles at 9 pm. We traveled for more than 10 hours on foot as we missed our bus 30 min late. we walked the whole day with minimal rest to reach sikles. we booked a hotel from the away as we were late and we asked them to prepare dinner for us. we reached Sikles at 10 pm. The hotel staff waited for us to provide dinner. we were tired and we ate dinner and sleep that night unconsciously.

Day 2:-

we woke up early at 6 am and take our heavy breakfast at the hotel and started our next day's journey. our target was to reach Tasa. we spend 1 more extra day as the flood sweeps away the wooden bridge 5 days ago due to heavy rainfall.

we need to walk more to complete our trekking route due to that bridge problem. The road is stepping down from Sikles to madi nadhi. we use a suspension bridge to cross madhi nadhi. it flows from the world's lowest glacier lake (kapuche). After crossing madi nadhi, the road was stepping up. we planned to take some rest and cooked fast food in the middle of the way. we collect firewood and one of our friends cooked food for us. After food, we again continued our journey. we are pleased with natural beauty.

The way is not so difficult but the steeping road trip was harder for us as we had no habits of walking. Finally, we reached Tasa at 6 pm. We booked our hotel from Sikles as they had come to serve us only if we had pre-booked. They only stay at that if the guest came. so it is necessary to make early bookings. we were refreshed by calm weather, cool air directly blows toward us from the Himalayas. We took our Dinner and ends that day beautifully.

Day3:-

We wake up at 6 am and become super fresh then take our breakfast again and continue our 3rd-day journey. We were tired of continuous 2 days of walking. This day is more difficult to walk for us. we had to walk the whole day to reach our destination. little showering rain makes our trekking trip more romantic and fun in the lap of beautiful mountains. The small temporary house built for rearing cattle and the huge no of cattle make our way more interesting. we had all the usual routine of the past day taking rest, cooking food, and so on.

oh look....we finally reached our destination, Kori. The great Himalayas welcome us. The ray of sunset kissing the mountain. the dafe creeping by flying around the green pasture land was something unique and nostalgic. This moment was so precious for us that we looked at the mountain smiled and forget all pain we had during the whole trek. We stay comfortable with the best candlelight dinner ever. The meat of sheep was so tasty. We wrap up that day as the best day of our life. we sleep on the lap of the Himalayas.

Day4:-

With great chaos and expectations of natural beauty, we woke up earlier before sunrise we went to the viewpoint and meditate for a few minutes to keep our body-the minds intact. The first ray of sun hits the mountain the view was out of imagination one can imagine a such moment without reaching that place. The wide green pasture land with carpet-like blooms of flower welcome every pure hearts who want to enjoy their moments in the lap of nature.

We spent around 3 hrs watching and questioning Mountain why you are so beautiful and always smiling. We capture the beauty of the flowers in wide green pasture land for memory.

We return that day with all the unforgettable and mesmerizing events of Kori. We had only memory and some photos to flashback our memory. we return to stay at Sikles.

Day5:-

This was the day we sleep for more than 10 hours. we woke late and took our breakfast and with heavy hearts, we packed our bags and we leave for our home saying goodbye to all the beautiful hills and mountains. we promise we will be back soon to see your beauty again.

I personally recommend this trekking to all nature lover. you get more what you expected from trekking. There need many improvement by local authority in this trekking route but it is not too worst compared with other. The proper accomodation facilities is necessary for increasing foreign tourist here. The goverment give permission to open cable car from sikles to kori hill which is good news to all. All , who love natural green pasture land covered with snow and beautiful flower in monsoon are requested to explore once.
